As part of the LACGH interdisciplinary team, our Registered Dieticians provide nutritional assessment, education and care planning services for inpatients.
Dietitian services are available to all medical, surgical and convalescent care inpatients through physician referral.
The Food Services Department prepares all meals in house to ensure healthy and safe food choices are available for all patients, visitors and staff.
Nutrition has an important role in the road to recovery during any hospital admission. By offering a choice of two menu options at each meal, our goal is to promote good nutrition for all inpatients at LACGH.
The cafeteria features a variety of healthy choices each day including soup, wraps, salads and sandwiches. LACGH was previously awarded the Eat Smart Award on two consecutive occasions which recognizes organizations that meet exceptional standards in nutrition, safe food handling and smoke free environment.
The cafeteria is open from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm weekdays and from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm on weekends. In the off hours, a vending machine, located in the cafeteria is stocked with a variety of items including wraps, salads, and healthy snack options. Keurig cups are also available for purchase through the vending machine.
