Inpatient Services
Lennox & Addington County General Hospital is a fully accredited facility, offering surgical, medical, and Long-Term Care Convalescent Care inpatient services. Special services include a Level 2 Intensive Care Unit and two Palliative Care suites.
Convalescent Care is a short term (maximum 90 day) program for individuals wanting to improve their strength and conditioning. Convalescent Care is a regional program, accepting patients from the SELHIN. Application to this program occurs through Home and Community Care. Individuals must be able to actively participate in rehabilitation as well as a variety of social programs. A multidisciplinary team of Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Recreational Therapist, Rehab Assistants and Volunteers work in partnership with the individual to establish goals and work hard to achieve these goals.
