x-ray machineThe Diagnostic Imaging Department is pleased to offer Direct Radiography Mammography services to our community.
The program is located on the lower level of the hospital and can be accessed from the back parking lot entrance off Bridge Street.

What is a Mammogram?
A mammogram is a low dose x-ray of the breast and is used to diagnose breast disease. Mammography plays a central role in the early detection of breast cancer.
Our hospital uses Digital Direct Radiography (DR) technology in our Mammography Clinic. This means the image is captured and is immediately electronically processed as a digital image.
The images are reviewed and reported by skilled Radiologists.

What if I have had a mammogram somewhere else?
A Physician referral is not required.  may directly to book an appointment. 613-354-3301 Ext. 285.  When your appointment is booked through Diagnostic Imaging, our clerical support clerk will call the facility at which you had your previous mammogram(s). Your mammogram(s) will be sent to us and then digitized (scanned into our Picture Archiving and Communication System -PACS) so the Radiologists will have the previous mammograms for comparison.
