The Diagnostic Imaging Department has recently introduced CT service for patients to receive their CT scan closer to home in a state of the art, warm and welcoming environment.

What is CT?

CT is a diagnostic imaging test used to create detailed images of internal organs, bones, soft tissues and blood vessels. The cross-sectional images generated during a CT scan can be reformatted in multiple planes, and can even generate three-dimensional images, which can be viewed on a computer monitor, printed on film or transferred to electronic media. CT is fast, painless, noninvasive and accurate. In emergency cases, a CT can reveal internal injuries and bleeding quickly enough to help save lives.

How can I book an appointment for a CT?

Patients require a referral from their physician and appointments are booked through the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The scan takes about 10 minutes to complete. You may also have to fill out a questionnaire before the test so please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Please call 613-354-3301 and dial extension 266 for more information.

I have an appointment – where do I go?

This service is located in the Diagnostic Imaging Department on the main level of the hospital and can be accessed through the front parking lot entrance. If you are booked for a CT scan, you will check-in at any registration Kiosk or directly at the Diagnostic Imaging Reception Desk.
